I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.
inquire about your session!

Some engagement sessions feel super posed and polished right from the start… and then there are sessions like Molly & Jordan’s where the best moments happen in between everything else. The little laughs while walking hand in hand, the quiet comments that immediately turn into giggling, and the way they can go from sweet and sentimental to completely goofy in about two seconds flat. Basically… my favorite kind of couple.
We kicked things off in downtown Springfield on one of those early fall evenings that somehow feels both busy and calm at the same time. Molly looked amazing in a tea-length white dress while Jordan showed up looking sharp in a suit, and together they looked straight out of a Pinterest board. They both were a smidge quiet at the being, but honestly, you never would’ve known after the first few minutes. Once they settled in, the entire session became so easy and natural. We wandered around the church grounds chatting, laughing, and stopping anytime the light hit just right. Some of my favorite moments were the completely unplanned ones. The two of them cracking each other up for no reason and forgetting I was even standing there with a camera.
After downtown, we headed out to the country for a totally different vibe. Tall grasses, open skies, country roads, and the prettiest sunset glow everywhere we turned. We grabbed a few more photos in their dressy outfits before they changed into jeans and comfy shirts, which honestly matched their personalities perfectly. The second half of the session felt even more relaxed and playful. There were so many sweet little moments of them snuggling close together one second and then immediately spinning, twirling, and laughing the next.
By the end of the night, Molly & Jordan were fully in their element, just being themselves together and having fun. Those are always the sessions that end up feeling the most meaningful to me. Their connection is so genuine, easygoing, and full of joy, and getting to photograph this season for them was such a good reminder that engagement sessions don’t have to feel stiff or serious to be beautiful.
I already know their summer wedding day is going to be an absolute blast, and after spending the evening with these two, I’m counting down the days even more.
Warm Regards,
