I met up with Alexa and Chris at the spot where their relationship began…The University of Illinois at Springfield campus! This beautiful campus brought this pair together in so many ways including in friendship, love, and sports! Alexa played softball for UIS and Chris was on the baseball team. So making sure to stop by the UIS fields was a must for these two. But, first we headed over to the courtyard on campus where there was some gorgeous columns, a fountain, and pretty light. We even had a special guest…Oakley, Alexa and Chris’ adorable furbaby! Since Alexa and Chris live down in St. Louis and drove all the way back to Springfield for photos with Oakley (who is not a fan of the car ride), she was a little nervous about photos at first. Yet, she basked in the kisses and love from mom and dad, so I would say she nailed her debut. Before leaving campus we made our way over the the softball field for a few photos with the couple in their jerseys and gloves in hand. Of course we couldn’t cover the bling on Alexa’s hand for too long, but long enough to show their passion for their sports.

We finished up with photos then headed out of town where Alexa and Chris dressed up a bit in comparison to their uniforms. Alexa looked amazing in her burgundy, flowy dress while Chris cleaned up nicely in dress pants and a button down shirt. Alexa and Chris both told me they were awkward in front of the camera, however I beg to differ! The chemistry they have together and their super relaxed attitudes made for some pretty incredible photos! We ended with a few twirls and dips in front of a lovely sunset. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening with this wonderful couple! I cannot wait for their summer wedding next year!
