At the beginning of the day, Patrick’s mother told me a story. One day they were at church around when Patrick was a toddler. There was another family sitting in the pew behind them with two little toddler girls and when the mass was over the other mother of the girls leaned forward and pointed at Patrick and said “I want to make sure that little guy marries one of my girls!” Well years later, fate took over, and here we are! Patrick is married to one of those girls, Brigid! How amazing is that story?!
It took many years after that first encounter for Brigid and Patrick to officially meet and become a couple, however, in high school, these two found one another. Brigid and Patrick not only have a love for each other, but for engineering and robotics! In high school, they met while at Robotics club and now both continue to coach while working in the engineering field in Peoria for the same company. And the ability of this lovely couple to do things together that feels right to them is what brought us to their wedding day.
On August 1st, 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, Brigid and Patrick moved ahead with their plans to get married in a very intimate, beautiful wedding in Peoria, Illinois. This pair brought together their immediate families at St. Philomena Church to celebrate their union as husband and wife. And goodness were their families amazing! Everyone welcomed me into Brigid and Patrick’s wonderful day with open arms and I’m so incredibly thankful I could be a part of it all! The small moments during their day really meant so much. Like when Brigid was getting dressed and her mom and sister, as well as her dad, helped her with her finishing touches. And people, her dad was the one that picked out her dress! How sweet!
The ceremony was filled with so much love, emotion, and faith. The bridal party was made up of Brigid’s sister and brother, Caroline and Hugo, along with Patrick’s brother, Michael. And the rest of the guest list consisted of Brigid’s parents, Nancy and Hugh, Patrick’s parents, Lynne and TJ, as well as Michael’s girlfriend, Kelly. Although the guest list was small during this Covid-19 time in the world, the joy, admiration, and delight for Brigid and Patrick on their biggest day was palpable!
After they became Mr. & Mrs. Seiler, the whole family headed over to the Luthy Botanical Gardens in Peoria for some additional photos. It was as if we had the entire gardens to ourselves and with a little help from some light cloud cover we were able to find some pretty gorgeous spots for the newlyweds for photos! The pops of the bridal party’s red and navy attire really complimented the couple throughout the gardens. And having both families along for the ride for photos was so special! They even had custom masks made for everyone in attendance that color-coordinated with their outfits! Amazing! Before my time with this wonderful group ended we headed down the road to Patrick’s aunt’s home for a few more photos of the couple and family. It was a delightful way to end the day!
Even though Brigid and Patrick’s day was a bit smaller than anticipated it was a pretty fantastic way to begin their married life together. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Seiler!
Warm Regards,
What a beautiful day!
A lovely couple with their amazing family!
