There are times you just work with a couple who could not be any sweeter if they tried! Erin and Hunter are that couple! To say I had a blast with them for their engagement session in Springfield, Illinois would be an understatement! I first met Erin in February 2019 when she was a bridesmaid in her brother, Ryan’s wedding to the beautiful Caitlin. I remember when Erin reached out to me shortly after she got engaged to Hunter and basically wanted to know what open dates I had available in the fall of 2020 before they booked their venue! When a bride is booking their wedding based on MY availability it’s the most humbling experience and I’m so grateful! Now I have two LWP Couples from the same family! YAY!

Although once Erin and Hunter booked their wedding photography with me, the process of getting their e-session on the calendar was quite the task! Hunter is a long-haul truck driver who is gone weeks at a time then only home for a few days. Mix in bad weather with a sprinkle of a global pandemic and it has been since last fall when we have been trying to get together for photos!! But, we FINALLY made it happen! And we were totally rewarded with a GORGEOUS evening! The temperature was perfect, the lighting was insanely beautiful, and Erin and Hunter brought the fun!

They had two spots they really wanted for their e-session…Lincoln’s Home in downtown Springfield and Southwinds Park, where they will be tying the knot this fall at Erin’s Pavilion. Throughout the whole session, Hunter knew exactly how to get Erin’s biggest smiles and laughs out! They were definitely taking advantage of him being home and enjoying every moment of their engagement photo experience! It was so lovely! When we finished up at Southwinds park the magic of golden hour really kicked in! These are hands down some of my favorite photos of these two by the willow tree and by the water! Pure happiness is written all over both of their faces and it’s perfection! I’m so delighted to work with this loving couple and I cannot wait to capture their wedding day memories very soon!
