Don’t let Miss Cate fool you! She is a burst of power and gracefulness packed into a sweet petite frame! This Glenwood High School senior from Chatham, Illinois has been a dancer since she basically could walk! She is an award-winning ballerina, who continues to leap and spin on the stage as well as teach younger dancers along the way. We began Cate’s session at the Dance Creations Studio, where she has danced for years. She really was a dream in her all white long tutu!! It was perfect with the white and black accents in the studio space she chose! Once we got started, all I was doing was trying to keep up with Cate as she twirled and lept around the room! But, boy it was fun! After we played around at the studio we headed to downtown Springfield, Illinois in search of some beautiful light, unique spots, and art! Cate went from rocking her white ensemble to rocking a floral jumpsuit! Seriously, how adorable is she?! Not only is she a cutie, but her heart is pure! She participates in many youth activities at her church as well as serving meals at a local homeless shelter. Things to be proud of for sure! I wandered around town with Cate for a bit, who is also part of my LWP Senior Spokesmodel Team, finding a couple of new spot to try out! And then she took me to a beautiful new mural in Springfield on the exterior of Wild Rose, which was created by the Springfield Art Association! I’m mean…It’s gorgeous! Having Miss Cate right in front of the pop of color downtown was perfection! I’m so happy she showed me this new gem in Springfield.
I finished with Cate at Lincoln Park at the beautiful bridge! She has impeccable taste as she changed into a flirty and fun blue dress with a few ruffles to play with! Cate’s energy and willingness to be a little silly made her session a blast! Doesn’t she have the best smile? We had a beautiful night to show off Cate’s delightful personality. We completed her session chasing the sunlight plus showing off the hard work and dedication she has to her dancing. Cate brought along a bunch of her worn down pointe shoes, which I LOVED! How great of an idea to give a little insight into her commitment to dance! And of course what is a dancing queen without her crown? Adding in her tiara for a recent dance title she won was the best way to end my time with her! Thanks so much, Cate for showing me your passion as well as your energetic personality! Have an incredible senior year!
