I’ve known Ashley for a few years now as she is the successful business owner of The Elegant Bridal Expo! I’ve participated in multiple shows she has run over the years, which has helped grow my own business. Now she not only helps connect brides to various vendors to make their dreams come true, but she can officially call herself a bride! She met her now fiancé, Kyle and they are planning a fall destination wedding in the Smokey Mountains this year! When she asked me to photograph their engagement session on her family’s farm in Petersburg, Illinois I was thrilled and honored at the same time! I’ve spent many hours away from “work” with Ashley and Kyle at pool parties and other events as friends. So I was very much looking forward to seeing these two together in their element on the farm!
We started Ashley and Kyle’s session with their beloved pups, Jeter and Baby, to get in all the family time we could! How adorable are all together? I would say their furbabies are pretty excited their parents are getting married! Even their cute matching bandanas said so! We then headed out down a dirt road to bring us to a wonderful tree-covered spot to really get going with this sweet couple! They did a few twirls and shared a few kisses making this a beautiful hidden gem even more magical. The next stop was out by one of the ponds where, if we are being honest, was my favorite spot! The golden light was pouring in on Ashley and Kyle, who made snuggling up, a pretty easy task. Out on the farm, Ashley and Kyle’s true personalities came out and their love for one another was on display! We finished up high on a hill to get the entire gorgeous view of the Petersburg farm! The landscape was lovely, yet Ashley and Kyle barely took their eyes off of each other long enough to enjoy the view made me love it even more! I adored working with Ashley and Kyle to capture the delightful relationship before they head up to the mountains to tie the knot under the evergreens! Congrats friends!
