I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.

I’m not sure I can adequately explain how much fun I had with Miss Bella at her senior session! But, I’m gonna try! Bella is a bolt of energy, loves to laugh, has a style all her own, and adores the colorful world around her! She is an LWP Senior Spokesmodel and I couldn’t be more thrilled she joined my team this year! She works hard logging several hours a week at a coffee shop, she’s involved in Key Club, National Honor Society, Track, as well as Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This Glenwood High School senior from Chatham, Illinois is really a breath of fresh air and my time with her was filled with discovering new locations, being in awe of the thought she put into planning her session out (even behind the scenes of our conversations), and occasionally reigning Bella in from petting every puppy which crossed our path. This girl LOVES dogs! At one point, I had to stop her from trying to pet a dog in a moving vehicle as she talked “puppy talk” to it! Hilarious! I met Bella, along with her sweet mom, Marjorie, in downtown Springfield, Illinois at the Horace Mann Building to start her session off with a few luscious flowers and greenery. Bella was looking fantastic in her black and yellow floral jumpsuit as her effortless beauty came out instantly! I found out her favorite color is yellow and again back to her thoughtfulness, this yellow theme came out several times during her senior session. We wandered around capturing her radiant smile along with a few peeks of sunshine on an otherwise overcast day.
Bella made a quick outfit change to her signature yellow colored shirt and Vans and low key jeans. Before we even made it to the next location, we had to stop for one more photo with her other favorite…Abe Lincoln! She’s a little crazy for Abe and even has T-shirts and socks with his image on them! From a girl, who has a framed drawing of the 16th president on her wall (because my husband is slightly obsessed) I Love it! Then she took me to a new spot that I fell head over heels with pretty quickly…Art Alley! It’s a beautiful and unique new spot downtown where several different local artists came together to brighten up a dark dingy alleyway. Seriously, it’s amazing! Bella already had her favorite mural picked out and of course, it had a bright yellow umbrella included. Told you she planned her outfits and locations well! Bella’s delightful and laid back personality came flooding out when we got to this spot! The joy was turned up for sure! Once we finished playing in the alley, she had another quick, but magical spot to share with me. Again, the outfit choice was on point! She took me over to a different alley where another incredible artist created a beautiful butterfly mural. Move over Nashville Butterfly! This one is flying in! The blues and whites were gorgeous and then you added lovely Miss Bella right in the middle and it was pure perfection! It was wonderful to see how much Bella lit up when she was looking at these pieces of art!
We finished up on top! On top of a parking garage that is! With a stunning view of the capital and the downtown streets of Springfield. Bella changed one last time into a flirty and dreamy white floral dress and show-stopping pink heels! We laughed quite a bit on the rooftop as Bella mastered the art of twirling with her dress. I would say she nailed it! And although at the very end when we wanted to sun to be a little bit brighter as his dipped below the horizon, I still love the subtle colors it produced for Bella’s final few photos. The joy and excitement which came out of Bella’s session were infectious and I’m so glad I got to be the one who captured her moments! Have an incredible senior year, Bella!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
