My girl, Holly represents all that is good in the world! She is ridiculously sweet, kind, thoughtful, and has a smile on her face no matter what! Holly is a Sacred Heart-Griffin senior in the Class of 2020. And luckily for me, she is a part of my Lauren Westrich Photography Spokesmodel Team! Because Holly is full of energy and enthusiasm about life, she makes a perfect SHG Cheerleader and this year…Captain! Since cheerleading is such a huge part of her world it made total sense to start her senior session at the SHG Football field, where she has cheered on her Cyclones year after year. Although I was overly pumped to start Holly’s photos, I was not necessarily excited for the proposal Holly and her lovely mom, Ann had for me when I arrived! The key to the fence they thought would work to get us on the field was not working. Sooooo, we had to climb a 6-foot fence in order to begin!! Now, I’m always game for anything to get the shot, but if I’m being honest, I haven’t climbed a fence that tall (or any fence for that matter) in quite some time! Thank Goodness for me and for the sake of Holly’s photos, I was able to get over the fence in a couple of tries! Whew! The climb was totally worth it though once we got going with Holly in her cheer uniform and looking adorable! I learned quickly that cheerleading has been in Holly’s DNA for a long time as her mom was an SHG cheerleader and started Holly young! Within a few minutes, the cutest photo of Holly emerged from a bag when she was about 8-years old in her SHG cheerleading uniform enrolled in a cheer summer camp! It.Was.FANTASTIC! Basically, Holly was meant to be a cheerleader for SHG from the start! Love it! Then she had the perfect idea to bring along her sister’s old graduation cap and gown for photos! We had a blast playing around with this look and the bedazzled cap she made with the phrase, “The Best is Yet to Come”! I’m sure it is, Holly! Adorable!
Holly loved the idea of heading to downtown Springfield, Illinois and wander around to a few locations to get a mix of urban and park-like looks. She rocked a delightful cream dress she found at the wonderful Eye Candy Boutique first before a quick change into a classic black top and white jeans to complete her look for the evening. She made a huge statement in front of the monumental green windows as her joyful personality came on strong! We finished up with some sensational golden light and Holly shining bright as she did the entire session. I loved every minute I spent with Holly (ok maybe minus the fence climbing thing) and she is the exact reason I enjoy working with high school seniors! She knows what she likes, she is not afraid to go after it, yet she is kindhearted and charming. Thanks, Holly for being part of the LWP Senior Team!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
