Finding something to giggle about is not a tough task for Stephanie and Dan! Whether it was the funny faces, fake headbutting, or whispering silly things in each other’s ears there was constant laughing during their engagement session. But one thing we all had plenty to laugh about was the reason we were forced to reschedule their original session. We had to move our time together back for their spring engagement session due to…SNOW! Yep, that’s right! I said SNOW! Because of a random spring snow shower that hit Springfield, Illinois! Yet, I don’t think any of us were sad about it since the evening we moved it to was perfect! The temperature, the golden light, and most especially the couple! We met in downtown Springfield and went to Illinois State Capitol building for a few photos inside and outside of the lovely location! Dan is a lobbyist for the medical community and Stephanie works for a beverage distribution company. So Dan knew this part of downtown would be a great place to show off their fun relationship. And believe me, they have fun when they are together! The lighting outside of the capitol was dreamy and magical for Stephanie and Dan, who were dressed to impress! Stephanie was gorgeous in her lace light blue dress and Dan was looking dapper in his navy suit with a relaxed button down. Although Stephanie and Dan were both a little apprehensive at the beginning of their engagement session, within a few minutes they were naturals and in their element wrapped up in one another’s arms!
After an outfit change and location shift, we headed over to Union Train Station with this adorable couple! I think their true personalities came out here. Dan and Stephanie have an amazing silly side and Dan knows how to get Stephanie’s biggest laughs out with his quick wit! And Stephanie simply makes a goofy face to get Dan to burst into laughter! How cute, right?! Because I wanted to show off a little bit of the spring season, we finished up at the park to capture these two with some beautiful blooms at sunset. I loved how Stephanie laid her head on Dan’s shoulder and the fit was just right.
Stephanie and Dan’s big day is right around the corner! Like literally in two months! I can already tell we are going to have a wonderful time on their wedding day! Their energetic personalities and laid back natures will be a blast to capture on their biggest day!
