Meghan and Adam have been together for a couple for years. Like we’re talking almost TEN YEARS! Meghan is a traveling nurse and Adam is a local farmer, who is continuing the tradition as a multi-generational farmer. I had the honor of visiting the family farm in Auburn, Illinois recently. Now Meghan had warned me the first time I met with this sweet couple that Adam was NOT a huge fan of photos. She told me over the last few years he has probably hopped in a total of 3 photos with them together. Well that was about to change! Adam was actually 2 years behind me at Glenwood growing up. So I knew that I would be able to use that common experience, plus a dash of sarcasm to capture some awesome moments between these two.

Meghan and Adam not only allowed me to come visit them at the farm, but I got to meet their special guy! Jim, the Black Lab, is their baby and was ready to go for his close up! This “Dog of Honor” is so adorable and loved spending time with his puppy parents during their photos. Once Jim had done his part, it was time for Meghan and Adam to really get cozy. Meghan in that dusty purple dress and bling around her neck was something next level! She is a gorgeous soul inside and out. And Adam was holding his own in his button down shirt and relaxed short vibe. As we wandered around the farm we found so many amazing spots to show off these two and their fun-loving relationship. From the white barn, to the corn silos, and even the “Weeds” that Meghan wasn’t so sure of. Adam even broke out his grandfather’s old tractor that was recently restored. All the fun things!

We finished up with an outfit change and a little prayer that the sun would make an appearance at the end of Meghan and Adam’s session. Storms had been in the forecast right around session time, but we were all crossing fingers to get everything in and so far, so good! Don’t let Adam fool you either, he may have been throwing silly looks at Meghan, especially when I told him to look her way. But, he was totally enjoying his time making his bride-to-be giggle. The sun popped out right before it dropped below the horizon and guess who was the one that brought it to my attention?! Adam! So I think for someone who doesn’t “Do Photos”, Adam enjoyed the engagement session experience with his lovely lady a bit more than he thought! VICTORY!

I’m thrilled to be a part of Meghan and Adam’s journey towards their vows! Especially since we will share a wedding anniversary once they get married in the summer of 2020!
