Finding your perfect match at the happiest place on Earth is definitely a fairytale come true! Lex and Alex met one another down in Florida while they both worked for Disney World through a college internship program. They actually met prior to beginning their internships on a Disney Facebook page for interns to get to know one another. On the first day of their magical internships at Disney Lex and Alex met and they didn’t look back! After 7 months of memories they created together, their internships ended. But their love story continued as they made the decision for Lex to move back to Bloomington, Illinois with Alex and make a new home away from Long Island, NY where Lex grew up. Then a couple years later, Alex was about to go through the Police Academy and after a promotion for Lex, who is a teacher at a Bloomington daycare they planned a return trip to celebrate to the place where their journey together began…Disney! Little did Lex know that Alex had a bigger plan in mind when they went to Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. In front of Cinderella’s castle, Alex dropped to one knee and asked Lex if she would, ” Make the rest of his life magical and marry him?” OMG Stop it! How absolutely perfect! Plus, they were able to capture it all on video from a camera hidden inside the ring box provided by Jack Lewis Jewelers, which you can see HERE! I have watched the video countless times and it is a fairytale, am I right?
Fast forward to Lex and Alex’s engagement session at Washington Park in Springfield, Illinois on a winter afternoon! The couple choose to come to me in Springfield to give a different look to their engagement photos as the wedding will be held in Bloomington. With a late November session, I was a tad nervous about how the well the weather would cooperate. However, I don’t think it could have turned out any better! Yes, it was cold and these two braved it all for the good of the photos! But, with a dusting of snow on the ground, the gazebo at the park decorated for the holidays, some pretty incredible golden light, and finishing up under a few Christmas lights…I would say we were all pretty pumped at how our time together ended up! Lex and Alex are wonderful together and so kind, fun, and genuine. Alex looks at Lex as if nothing else in the world matters! They giggled often stayed snuggled up as closely as possible while we wandered around the park. After capturing some pretty awesome photos by the pond at sunset we headed downtown to catch a few moments under the lights. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how their engagement session went and getting to know their personalities more before their big fall wedding next year was a blast! Being a part of their enchanting love story is another reason I love my job! I can’t wait for their magical day!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
