Amber & Steve’s wedding day felt like November showing off in the best way. Sunshine pouring in, trees still hanging onto those bold, vibrant fall colors, and that perfect crisp-in-the-air feeling that wakes you up without freezing you out. It was the kind of day that just works—easy, joyful, and full of life from the very start. They celebrated at The Artisans Building, which gave us the perfect mix of character and cozy fall vibes without trying too hard. Amber spent her morning at a Springfield Airbnb surrounded by her big, high-energy bridal crew (truly the best kind of chaos), with both her mom and step-mom helping her get into her gorgeous lace gown. Meanwhile, Steve and his guys were getting ready downtown at The Abraham Lincoln Hotel, setting the tone for a day that felt both relaxed and really special.
These two chose to do a first look, and I’m so glad they did. We found the prettiest little spot downtown with all the fall texture and color, and they got to just be together for a minute. They shared private vows, soaked it all in, and you could feel the emotion without it being rushed or overwhelming. Just really intentional, quiet moments. Then we brought in the bridal party and the energy instantly shifted—in the best way. So much laughter, hype, and just pure fun. The warm tones the girls wore mixed with their bouquets were unreal (definitely a favorite combo of the day). After that, we grabbed as much time as we could with just Amber and Steve, letting them wander, laugh, twirl—you know, all the good stuff. Amber was absolutely stunning (and very smart with her occasional fur jacket moment), and Steve looked so sharp in his navy suit and bow tie. But honestly, it was the way they looked at each other and enjoyed every second that made it all magic.
Their ceremony was right in the middle of it all, surrounded by their people and that warm, laid-back atmosphere that just felt them. And then… the stars of the show: Beckett and Jameson. Their twin two-year-old boys took on ring bearer duties, and let’s just say it was a 50/50 success rate—but a 100% win for cuteness. The ceremony itself was filled with so much emotion, excitement, and those little real-life moments that make everything feel meaningful. They exchanged rings, shared a kiss, and just like that—official. Husband and wife. We snuck them away afterward for a few quick family photos as the sun started dropping (aka those “we did it!” moments), and then gave Amber and Steve a little space for some just-married portraits. Lots of laughter, a few spins, and yes… a perfect dip into their new title as Mr. & Mrs. Saner.
And then—party time. The reception did not disappoint. From the cake cutting to the dance floor, it was just one fun moment after another. Their first dance with their boys in their arms? Stop. It was the sweetest thing. Amber shared such meaningful dances with her dad and also took time to honor both her mom and step-mom, which was really special to watch. Steve danced with his mom and then his sister, and naturally, the boys made a few surprise appearances on the dance floor (as they should). The toasts brought the perfect mix of laughter and heartfelt moments—Amber’s dad, her Maid and Matron of Honor, and two of Steve’s best friends all absolutely nailed it. Once the dance floor opened, it stayed packed all night, and honestly, that tells you everything you need to know. The best kind of day, celebrating the best kind of people—Mr. & Mrs. Saner.
