Nicole and Kevin’s wedding day was one of those dreamy, sunshine-soaked summer days that felt like it was made for a celebration. I arrived at The Rustic Venues in Girard, Illinois, and the whole property was buzzing with excitement for these two teachers to tie the knot. The sun was blazing (hello, mid-June!), but the energy was high, and the smiles were everywhere. This venue is such a charming mix of rustic and romantic—wide open corn & bean fields, pretty little garden areas, and a barn that just begs to be photographed. It made the perfect backdrop for all the magic about to unfold.

The ceremony took place inside the barn, which was such a sweet and cozy setting. When Kevin saw Nicole for the first time, it was one of those moments that gives you goosebumps—the look on his face said everything. Nicole looked absolutely stunning, and the barn’s white wood tones, old church pews for guests to be seated, and soft twinkle lights added to the magic of it all. After the ceremony, we jumped into bridal party photos, and let me tell you—we had a blast! The venue has added so many fun little spots lately, which gave us tons to play with. Whether it was a tree swings, the vintage wagon, or just a pretty corner with great light, we found photo ops everywhere. And Nicole and Kevin’s bridal party came to have fun!

The whole day felt like a celebration of love, laughter, and all the people who adore Nicole and Kevin. It was hot, yes—but totally worth every drop of sweat to capture their joy. Sunset photos may have been my favorite time of day, when the Mr. & Mrs. Loveless were hand in hand and getting used to their new status of married! The golden glow of the evening was the most perfect way to end their incredible day! I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it, and even more grateful to have clients like these two who trust me to tell their story. Nicole and Kevin, your day was magic—and your love is the kind that lights up every frame. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Loveless!
