From the moment I met Haley and Zach and were greeted with their big, warm smiles I knew we were going to have an incredible evening for their engagement session last fall. We lucked out with a gorgeous autumn night in early October in the Springfield, Illinois area. The golden hour glow was beaming and the colors of the season were just beginning to show. Haley and Zach were a little nervous for photos, but within a few minutes of beginning laid back and lively personalities took over and they were enjoying the moment hand in hand. I learned pretty quickly when Zach gets Haley laughing she gets the most beautiful nose crinkle! I love this so much!

When it came time for this pair to change outfits, they decided they were having too much fun and loving the few previews I had shown them in what they were wearing so they kept on the lovely fuchsia floral dress Haley chose and the grey sweater and navy pants Zach had on. They looking amazing so I think it was a great choice! Since we had more photo time now, we took a little further walk to one of my secret spots and I’m so happy we did with these two. The tall grasses, a creek, and the sun perfectly peeking through the trees was such a moment for this sweet couple. They were game for anything and so adding lots of movement for the duo was a ton of fun! We laughed a lot during their photoshoot and I feel like that joy bursts out of their images. We finished our time together off with a few country road photos at sunset with a few dips and twirls! I can’t think of a better way to cap off the evening! Their big day this fall is going to be an amazing one!
