Makenna is simply the sweetest! This Pawnee, Illinois High School senior is kind, a go-getter, athletic, and full of energy! You may have remembered seeing her beautiful face before since she is part of my LWP Senior Rep Squad! She was completely herself at the team session, even though she didn’t know any of the other ladies, which speaks volumes to her character and confidence! If you missed the Senior Rep session you can check all the girls out HERE! Since Makenna rocked the team session with me, I knew her individual session would be special! We had to plan her schedule around her softball calendar as she is a phenomenal softball player, participating on her school team as well as several other competitive teams over the summer. Running around the bases keeps this girl super busy year round! She is also very smart and told me she is currently exploring several colleges where she can become a physical therapist as well as continue playing softball! 

Makenna is up for anything and we had fun in Springfield, Illinois starting downtown at Lincoln’s Home running around the grounds on a Friday evening. She picked an adorable floral dress to show off her style and make her stand out among the variety of white fences and old-time houses in the area! After Lincoln’s Home we walked down the street to a local church with their famous red door! Makenna was excited to be one of the first from her school to get their senior photos in front of “The Door”! But, the other aspect of this spot which was really fun is the church’s little garden was actually open when we were there! I told Makenna that every time I had been there in the past, this courtyard area was closed. So we had a blast with their lovely sunburst metal artwork as well as the amazing stained glass! Talk about a unique set of locations! I’m sure you will be able to tell that Makenna has an incredible smile, which is warm and welcoming to anyone she meets! Yet, I think my favorite is Makenna’s crinkle in her nose when she laughs really hard! It’s the cutest!

We finished up Makenna’s session at Washington Park in the Botanical Gardens. She popped on her cowboy boots and pretty white sundress and we were off! The awesome greenery and bountiful blooms were nothing in comparison to Makenna and her smile! We joked throughout the session that she even had a great “serious” face! Her mom, Laura, called it her “sassy” face! Love it! We ended our time together with a victory jump celebrating the new chapter Makenna is about to start in her last year of high school! I’m thrilled how much I have learned about this lovely young lady and I couldn’t be more excited to see where the future takes Makenna!
