Jacklyn and Collin’s fall engagement session landed on a calm, gorgeous evening, which was perfect to capture this lovely couple. I met up with them at the New Salem State Park in Petersburg, Illinois where we could take our time and wander around chasing the light coming through the trees, as well as find historic Abraham Lincoln period cabins and buildings. Jacklyn and Collin are both shy and more reserved, but when they are together it’s clear they have an easy love that just makes sense. Jacklyn lights up with just a quick look at Collin and they shared so many giggles and snuggles throughout our time together. About midway into their session, we had two special guests arrive. Their beloved dogs, Hazel and Grizzly. These adorable labs brought all the energy and spunk we needed for so many incredible images of Jacklyn and Collin in their element with their pups.
After a quick outfit change, we moved to another spot where the sun was setting perfectly through the autumn trees. By this time, Jacklyn and Collin, who were more reserved and timid at the beginning of the session, were now more relaxed and definitely enjoying their time in each other’s arms. The yellow and orange leaves were the perfect backdrop for this beautiful couple to finish up their engagement shoot. I loved getting to spend the evening with Jacklyn and Collin and I’m looking forward to capturing their fall nuptials this year!
Warm Regards,
