I met up with Rebecca and Trace on a mild January day in Virginia, Illinois for their engagement session. We had been planning their photo shoot for awhile and we were hoping that the sun would come out on this winter day. Rebecca and I had met before as she was a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding I photographed a couple years back out at their family’s farm. Before we headed to the farm, we started in an area of Virginia with some beautiful log cabins for a little rustic touch. Rebecca looked gorgeous in her maroon dress and Trace brought the fun with a paisley button down shirt and his trusty jeans. These two are so sweet with each other and took in every second in one another’s arms!
Once we finished up at the cabins, we headed to a familiar place…The amazing red barn! At this point in the evening, some fog had rolled in making for a unique background. I grabbed a few photos of this lovely couple in front of the barn before they changed into more laid back outfits. They even threw in an awesome cowhide, which was perfect! Rebecca and Trace are homegrown farm kids and share a special bond with one another. We decided to end our time together up by a pretty pond in one of the cow pastures. The foggy weather really put the focus on this adorable couple and made them pop in all the best ways! I’m thrilled to be a part of Rebecca and Trace’s big day coming up later this year!
Warm Regards,
