With Kassondra and Zac living in Indiana and me being based in Springfield, Illinois we decided to meet halfway for their engagement session in Champaign, Illinois. And the University of Illinois Arboretum was the perfect place at the end of the summer. There was some rain in the forecast but Kassondra and Zac were ready to go and I was so excited to finally meet up with them. So we went for it! They were looking amazing in their hues of green as we wandered around the Japanese garden. The pond, willow trees, and bridge were the perfect backdrop for these two. Kassondra brings the fun and keeps Zac smiling making the entire session such a blast. Even when the skies opened up and it started raining we had a great time as we hid under these enormous trees to keep us dry.

Thank goodness the rain stopped and after a quick outfit change we made our way over to another part of the beautiful garden with blooms popping everywhere and a little almost gingerbread looking cottage. So gorgeous! Kassondra looked amazing in her light blue dress and she and Zac took every moment to snuggle in close together. They giggled, twirled, and dipped their way through photos and even though the sun didn’t come out, this lovely couple brought their own sunshine! I loved spending the afternoon with Kassondra and Zac and I’m looking forward to capturing their summer wedding.
