I’m not sure I could think of a better way to kick off the month of October than Jenna and Kaylob’s gorgeous St. Louis wedding at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Hotel on October 1st! From the moment I walked into the bridal suite I was greeted by a glowing Jenna, who was beaming with excitement in the knowledge she was about to marry the man of her dreams. I will say, Jenna did do something which was a total first for me. She was having a hard time saying, “YES to the dress”. Unlike the easiest “YES” of her life when Kaylob asked her to marry him, Jenna had two dresses in her suite she wanted to make a day of decision once her hair, makeup, and of course the reaction of her best ladies were all brought together on the wedding day. Although I did photograph the “other dress”, I’m only sharing the one that was ultimately chosen by Jenna. Dress one was lovely and Jenna was a vision, however when she walked out with the second dress…Everyone in that room knew it was the winner! Jenna’s smile was ear to ear and she just presented herself differently! It was fun to be part of her “YES”!
Now it was time for her first look with Kaylob and this part of the day didn’t disappoint! Kaylob was looking awesome himself in a classic navy suit and cream tie. He was definitely a bit nervous waiting to see his bride, however once he turned to see Jenna in her gown you couldn’t wipe the huge smile off his face if you wanted to. These two are absolutely adorable together and I’m so honored to have been a part of so many special moments for them! And before all of the sweet memories were over Jenna also did a first look with her father and his reaction was incredible. She also shared beautiful moments with her mother and grandmother. I love how they include family throughout the day!
Following all the first looks, it was time to take this good looking bridal party outside of the hotel for a few photos. The emerald green the bridesmaids had on matched the ties the groomsmen wore along with their navy suits looked so stylish and on point! We were getting real city vibes during portrait time and I was absolutely here for it! Then when it was time for just the bride and groom these two nailed it! Jenna and Kaylob took every second to enjoy their time together and breathe in the love they share. Before they knew it the time came for their nuptials in the stunning Solarium of the Ritz Carlton. The living ceiling with gold lanterns and the open-air space made for the perfect spot to say, “I Do”! Jenna and her dad took their time walking down the aisle and Kaylob loved every minute watching his bride heading his way. The ceremony was filled with humor, touching words from the maid of honor’s parents, who Jenna and Kaylob chose to speak and officiate because of their admiration of their close marriage. This pair spoke their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed it all with a kiss! They are officially Mr. & Mrs. Tang!
I stole the newlyweds right before they were announced into their reception down in the center of the circle in front of the Ritz for some city sunset photos. The golden glow was bouncing off the building and Jenna and Kaylob had that “Newly Married Glow” as they twirled and dipped like professionals! Jenna fits just perfectly in Kaylob’s arms and spending this time with them was a blessing!
Now it was onto their lovely reception with beautiful natural table settings like wooden chargers, succulents, and clear glass bottles sparkling with lights. A magical feeling was apparent from table to table including the family style head table. There were amazing toasts to the couple as well as meaningful dances with Jenna and her dad plus Kaylob danced with both of his sisters. Then the new Mr. & Mrs. Tang shared their first dance together. These two were adamant they wanted to party and with the band, Fun DMC as their entertainment for the evening, why wouldn’t they! So right after they completed their first dance the party commenced! Fun DMC had the floor packed all night with their song mashups, hula hoop battles, and drum lessons for the littlest guests!
Jenna and Kaylob’s big day was perfect in every way! Their vision was to make memories with their loved ones and join together as husband and wife. I would say all their wedding dreams came true! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Tang!
