It was only a few short months ago when I received an email from Kaylee about their summer 2022 wedding she and fiancé, Tyler were trying to plan. They were over the moon excited to be married and didn’t want to wait any longer than needed to tie the knot! Thankfully, with the craziness of the post-pandemic wedding world, I was still available and able to serve this sweet couple. I even found out that I photographed Kaylee’s brother, Justin’s wedding 7 years ago to his wonderful bride, Lindsay! I love working with families again and again! So special! Fast forward to meeting up with Kaylee and Tyler in Downtown Springfield, IL for their spring engagement session where I quickly realized these two were going to be a blast to work with! Their silly, fun-loving personalities had me at “Hello” as we began our time together in front of the Governor’s Mansion. The entire forecast, up until a few hours before we were supposed to meet, said big storms were going to roll in and potentially force us to reschedule. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised when the radar showed the storms were looking like they were staying south. So we decided to go for it! And Kaylee and Tyler were rewarded with the most beautiful evening to show off their lovely relationship!

Talk about adorable! Kaylee and Tyler together were a pleasure to watch in action! Giggling with one another, sneaking kisses, and some of the goofy faces Tyler made just to get Kaylee to laugh were priceless! Not to mention Kaylee with her amazing dress selection brought color and movement to their photos, which was incredible! After spending time downtown for a bit, we headed to Washington Park and took advantage of the few budding blooms. Then to our surprise, the sun came out and we had the most magical golden hour for the future Mr. & Mrs. Ott! Everything came together and I am ecstatic to be a part of their big day and capture more special moments with Kaylee and Tyler this summer!
