Working with newborns can’t get any better (or cuter for that matter) than my afternoon spent with Bingham! His lovely parents, Laura and Daniel, welcomed me into their beautiful home in Springfield, Illinois for a newborn lifestyle session. Their first born, furbaby Oshie, was also intrigued by my arrival, but we quickly became friends and we were off! Mom and dad did an amazing job getting Bingham (or Bing as they are calling him for short) off to dreamland by the time I arrived. We began in their beautiful living room capturing a few of the whole family together and ensuring Oshie got plenty of sniffs of his new brother. We then headed up to Bingham’s fantastic nursery decorated with pops of color and fun details. I was immediately drawn to the bright and fun rug in his room, which Laura said was one of her favorite parts! Seemed like the perfect spot for an adorable baby! Bing, true to form, slept the entire time and couldn’t have been more sweet with his tiny fingers squished up against his cheeks! I also discovered after mom and dad wanted to include a handmade University of North Carolina blanket that Daniel was an Alumni of UNC. As I was finishing up photographing Bing’s delightful toes, Daniel asked if he could add one thing. He disappeared for a moment then returned with a black marker. Laura began to laugh as Daniel started carefully drawing something on the bottom of his son’s foot. After a couple of seconds, I realized what he had doodled…A Tarheel! Daniel wanted ONE THING out of the session and it was a photo of his newborn son with his alma mater’s logo! It was pretty funny! We ended our time together with a fantastic onesie saying “HELLO…I’m Bingham”! We even caught a few smiles and yawns! I guess Bingham had a good time, but he was too tired to let me know! I’ll take it! I’m very excited I get to continue capturing this handsome guy in his first year in the world!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
