Where do I start when it comes to Tiffany and Shane’s wedding?! A few words come to mind when I look back on their day. Beautiful, fabulous, classy (yet relaxed), FUN, and perfect! It was my first time shooting at The Pillars Event Center in Taylorville, Illinois and the day couldn’t have been more amazing! Yes, we did have to deal with a little off and on rain, but this couple and their bridal party were more than willing to put their trust in me to make their photo time work no matter where we were. And lucky for me, The Pillars was a gorgeous place to create some memorable moments for these newlyweds!
Tiffany was cool and calm as she prepared for her day surrounded by her family and friends who would stand next to her on her big day. This included her six year old daughter, Avery and Shane’s tween daughter, Kallie. Tiffany said she loves all things sparkly and beautiful which lead to her choice of sequence blush pink dresses along with many touches of rose gold and navy. Everything really came together so amazingly! When Tiffany stepped into her dress she was truly a vision! From the lace capped sleeves, to the illusion neckline, to her full skirt with floral embroidery Tiffany was the definition of a stunning bride! Shane couldn’t let Tiffany out do him too much and was looking pretty fancy himself! His navy suit and pink vest with matching tie kept the whole vision of the day in mind. Shane’s sister and best woman, Maria, wore a navy version of the bridesmaids dresses as she stood up next to her brother.
When it came time for Tiffany and Shane’s first look we had a little drizzling rain to contend with! But, with the front steps of The Pillars being covered we were able to find a lovely place for Shane to see Tiffany for the first time! He definitely had his breath taken away when he turned to see his bride in her dress! The pair couldn’t stop smiling and it was fun to be able to witness. We were supposed to head to a park, however we decided due to the rain we would stay close to the old church turned event center for the bridal party photos. This plan totally worked out as we wandered around the street when the rains let up where we found some pretty old victorian homes as a backdrop. Either way Tiffany and Shane’s love for one another stole the show and so no matter where they stood it wouldn’t have mattered.
The ceremony was started off by some fun as Tiffany and Shane’s “Flower Men” brought some humor to the day with Fannie packs full of rose petals, sunglasses, and choreographed dancing down the aisle leading the way for Tiffany’s big entrance!! What a gift to the couple from Tiffany’s brother, Timmy (a past LWP Groom) and his BFF, Castle! Hilarious! All eyes though were on Tiffany as she made her way down the aisle to Shane and they took their places in front of a fantastic fireplace of stone to say their vows. Their officiant was Shane’s brother, Nick, who had beautiful words to bring to the nuptials! After exchanging rings, vows, and a kiss they were pronounced husband and wife! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Brown!
Their reception space was decorated elegantly with greenery, geometric gold centerpieces, and pink and navy fabrics. The stained glass windows from the old church gave the space a fun element as well. The two toasts given by Tiffany and Shane’s ladies of honor, Celeste (a previous LWP Bride) and Maria were heart-felt and hilarious! As we were going into the dances of the evening I found myself thinking I might have actually made it through a wedding without crying (cause if you follow me you know I tear up at every wedding at least one time). That didn’t last long because as soon as Shane began to dance with Kallie and Avery I for sure started to well up! It was so cute and special! And to finish the evening off, I stole the bride and groom along with their bridal party for a spectacular sparkler send off! Congrats to Tiffany and Shane! I wish you continued blessings in your marriage!
