I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.

Last fall, on a stunning evening in October, I was able to catch up with an amazing couple, Shelby and Connor. These cuties actually drove down from Chicagoland, where they had been currently living and working as travel nurses. See, the most endearing quality of this pair I’ve found is they only take traveling nurse contracts where they can work together. Now maybe not necessarily the same shift, but in the same locations so their job doesn’t take one of them away from the other. How stinking sweet!
Shelby and Connor started off their session in a relaxed outfit, both in jeans with Shelby wearing a cream top and Connor in a cream top and tan jacket. The sun was peeking through the trees perfectly as we were just starting to get a little fall color in the leaves. Shelby said she was a little nervous, but within a few minutes of getting started this duo fell right into the best rhythm. Now Shelby and Connor have been in front of my camera before. He was the best man at his brother Michael’s wedding to Morgan in 2023 that I photographed. And I caught Shelby in a few family formal photos. Now I have the honor of capturing their nuptials and I’m so grateful. Shelby and Connor had great energy throughout their entire session and were game for any wild idea I threw at them to try. Bringing about some of my favorite photos of this lovely pair giggling and simply enjoying life together.
After a quick outfit change, Shelby and Connor had full fall vibes going! She wore a beautiful burnt orange velvet dress and he went with a navy pullover with khakis pants. They were just popping off the backdrop of tall grasses as the sun began to set and I was absolutely here for it! They twirled, dipped, and snuggled in tight all during a golden hour that felt like magic! I’m thrilled to be a part of Shelby and Connor’s upcoming wedding at the end of the summer.
Warm Regards,
