Jacklyn and Collin’s mid-autumn wedding day was filled with dreamy weather, emotional moments, and so much joy for this couple to say, “I Do!” The fall vibes were on full display throughout their nuptials from the rust orange of the bridesmaid’s dresses, pampas grasses and textured florals, and wooden accents sprinkled in during the day. Jacklyn and her ladies were in high spirits in the morning and by the time I arrived were practically finished with all their hair and makeup! They were all on top of it at the salon and were looking fabulous! I had the pleasure of photographing Jacklyn’s sister, Jordan’s wedding a few years ago so it was fun to see some familiar faces. We headed out to the small chapel out in the middle of endless now plowed cornfields. In the church that means so much to Jacklyn and Collin. Collin, who was still at the couple’s home, was getting ready with his family and closest friends. The guys wore grey suit jackets with crisp white buttoned down shirts, orange ties, and dark jeans for a classic but relaxed look. This sweet couple chose not to see one another prior to their ceremony so we did a few photos of them separately with their sides of the bridal crew before the nuptials. The energy and anticipation was high and before we knew it, the time had come to get these two married!
The small little white chapel was packed with loved ones as Jacklyn and her father made their way down the aisle towards an awaiting Collin. He tried holding back tears, but seeing his bride brought out his emotions, which was wonderful to have a front row seat to capture. Jacklyn and Collin are both very shy and quiet so a short and sweet ceremony was exactly what they were looking for and what they got! They exchanged their rings, spoke their vows with intention, and sealed it with a kiss! They were then introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Boehl! Following their family photos at the church, the bridal party loaded up and we headed out to the beautiful Jim Edgar State Park. We found a gorgeous spot with a colorful autumn tree with lovely light coming through for this energetic bridal party. We laughed so much during bridal party photos with this group and had an absolute blast! Then it was time for the newlywed’s close up. Collin again, is a man of few words. But, he can get Jacklyn giggling and looks at her with all the love in the world. We did a ton of movement with these two and they totally nailed it all! When we arrived back at the reception hall at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, the sunset was at its peak time. So before The Boehl’s were announced into their party, we took a few more moments to capture some sunset photos. Jacklyn and Collin twirled, dipped, and simply enjoyed a few seconds as husband and wife before they joined their guests to celebrate their big accomplishment of tying the knot!
Their reception was joyous, emotional, and chock-full of core memories made! The newlyweds were toasted by family and friends. Shared dances with many loved ones throughout the evening. And Jacklyn, the bashful bride, even took the microphone and honored her mother with a wonderful toast before sharing flowers and a tearful dance with her. A delightful memory for sure. Jacklyn and Collin are off to an incredible start to their marriage and I’m praying for many more years of blessings to come for them. Cheers to The Boehls!
