From the moment I met up with Ashlee and Jack at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Illinois during one of the best times to visit…Autumn…I already knew I was going to adore this couple! I had chatted on the phone with Ashlee prior to their engagement session and she was an absolute doll. She told me the amazing story of how she and Jack were blindly set up. Ashlee’s co-worker kept telling her she should go out on a date with her son. Ashlee was in NO WAY interested in this since she loved her co-worker and didn’t want anything to mess up that relationship. Plus the idea of a blind date wasn’t really her thing. So the co-worker (spoiler alert: Jack’s mom), slipped Ashlee’s number to Jack and put the ball in his court on if he wanted to reach out to her or not. Well, Jack went for the shot, and texted Ashlee introducing himself (“In Perfect Grammar”, Ashlee added) and they started to get to know one another. And the rest is history! Now we were meeting up for engagement photos ahead of their fall wedding, which I’m so excited about!

Ashlee and Jack are such an incredible match together! She is outgoing and up for whatever and he is more mellow and allows her to be the star of the moment. Ashlee’s style brought a vintage Hollywood vibe and I was loving every second of it! Her dress choices were perfection with the fall foliage and paired with her sweet Jack snuggled in close, these two looked amazing! We wandered around LMG finding so many wonderful spots as I got to know more about this light-hearted, caring duo. Ashlee and Jack were up for simply enjoying themselves and being in the moment as their lives are busy, especially with wedding planning. We ended with lots of giggles down a long path of tall trees as the sun was setting. I couldn’t think of a better way to finish up the evening! Ashlee and Jack’s fall wedding will be one I’m definitely looking forward to!
