I finally got to meet Christy and Luke on a gorgeous autumn evening and I was ecstatic to give these two a hug after it felt like I had been chatting with Christy for so long through email. We decided to meet at one of my favorite spots in Springfield, Lewis Memorial Acres, where the tall grasses and lovely tree line in the fall just made for beautiful engagement photos. Christy had said when they arrived she was really nervous, but very excited. I quickly swooped in with some confidence and told her we were here to have fun and I was going to instruct her and Luke on exactly what to do to make their session a blast! And that’s just what they did! Christy looked adorable in a flirty white dress with strapy sandals. She’s a hair stylist so her hair and makeup was on point! Luke dressed to impress as well with a sage button down shirt and khaki pants. These two have been together for 3 years and seeing them smiling and laughing together it’s easy to see the love they have for one another.

This duo made a quick outfit change as the sun was dropping and we wandered a bit more around the location. Christy’s pop of peach in her sweater was perfect as the golden light drenched this wonderful couple. They giggled, snuggled in, and even danced a bit in the tall grasses. No matter what they did, the tender, sweet looks they gave to each other made the moments even more meaningful. I loved my time with Christy and Luke and I cannot wait to capture their fall wedding this year!
