When I met up with Halle and Isaac it was a calm and serene fall day. I was looking forward to meeting this sweet couple, who I had just recently booked and we were lucky enough to make an autumn date work with everyone’s busy schedules. I could tell right off the bat how much these two care for one another. Even before we started photos, Isaac was making sure Halle had all she needed as she completed her finishing touches to her look. Once we started, the smitten looks and easy-going laughter Halle and Isaac shared together made their engagement session such a blast. We had beautiful backdrops of fall leaves at Springfield, Illinois Carpenter Park, where we took time to wander about the stone building and wooden treeline. Halle was absolutely stunning in a cream and floral dress complimented with wine-colored stilettos! Isaac was looking pretty dapper himself in a beige turtleneck sweater and navy slacks. And make no mistake, Isaac ensured Halle’s safe travel from spot to spot with those tall shoes on by scooping her up and carrying her, which was absolutely adorable.

Halle and Isaac are incredibly playful together and were willing to try whatever ideas I could come up with. Which I loved, might I add! After spending some time inside the park, we decided to try and make our way out closer to the golf course to see if we could get some better light and see if the sun would make an appearance! And it was our lucky day! The sun peeked out and we got a gorgeous sunset for this lovely duo! The real magic happened with Halle and Isaac when the golden light shined through on these two and their deep love for one another was on full display. I’m thrilled I get to be a part of their wedding day this year and capture every second of their love story.
