Many of my LWP Couples may recognize Jaime as she peeks out from behind the camera on wedding days with me as a second photographer. But, now it was her turn to get dressed up and commit herself to her long time guy, Steffen. We jokingly called this day her “Non-Wedding, Wedding” as she started out thinking of their commitment ceremony with immediate family in her father’s backyard with her dressed in a simple dress and barefoot. Well, it turned into more of an intimate event, but oh my word was it beautiful! With the help of family and friends, Jaime and Steffen welcomed around 50 loved ones to witness them pledge their love, support, and commitment to each other at her father and step-mother’s home in Springfield, IL. They didn’t feel like they needed a piece of paper to continue their promise of always being there for one another, however they wanted to show the world they were meant to be together forever.

Before the ceremony, one of Jaimie’s musts was to have a first look with her dad. These two are very close and to have this moment was an emotional one. Jaime and Steffen also decided to see one another beforehand and I think it took a little bit of the jitters away and was a sweet part of the day. Next it was time for Jaime and Steffen to stand in front of their families and friends and share lovely words of emotion and committal, as well as qualities they adore about one another. There were laughs and gentle words exchange by both Jaime and Steffen. Then they sealed it all with a kiss! Once the ceremony was completed, Steffen shared his love language as he fired up the grill and cooked for all the guests that came out to join them for their special day! And my goodness was it delicious! But, before the couple started having too much fun, I stole them for a few photos together. Jaime looked absolutely beautiful in her gown and her big smile was her best accessory. Steffen was looking fresh in his crisp navy button down shirt and khakis shorts. When you put Jaime and Steffen together it was…Chef’s kiss!

I couldn’t be happier for my amazing friend in this new chapter of life she is embarking on! Jaime is the first to help in any situation, offer incredible advice in all seasons of your journey, and give encouragement when needed. I couldn’t ask for a better person to have next to me on my own adventure called business. She deserves the best and I think she got it in Steffen! Congrats!
