I met up with Kendra and Jacob on a chilly fall afternoon for their engagement photos. Although it was a tad windy, they were super excited to spend this time together. So I couldn’t ask for anything else! We started in downtown Springfield, Illinois at the state capitol, which is always a lovely spot. Kendra in her navy floral dress, and Jacob with his camel colored felt trench coat simply popped off the backdrop of the architectural features of the capitol. This adorable couple laughed together as they snuggled in tight to keep warm. Jacob made sure Kendra was comfortable the entire time. So sweet!

After we captured all we wanted downtown, we headed to another favorite place of Kendra and Jacob’s, Lincoln Memorial Gardens. Since it was later in the season many of the autumn leaves were gone. However, the golden glow of the sunset brought a gorgeous look to this couple’s photos. They both wore soft, knit sweaters, which was perfect for the evening! Cozy sweaters for the win! We finished up, as usual, with some beautiful silhouettes of these two dancing in the sunset. I’m so excited to be part of their wedding day later this year.
