I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.

Incorporating a special place into your engagement session is always the right move. For Morgan and Michael, heading back to Southwinds Park was not even a question when they were deciding where to have their photos taken. Not only do they love walking their dog, Cooper, at the park, but this is where Michael got down on one knee and proposed! How awesome! We started our time together at the park with their sweet pup and took plenty with Morgan and Michael and their furbaby. I mean how cute is that puppy face?!? Cooper was such a good boy and after his close ups, he headed off with a family member and it was time for just this adorable couple.
We headed over to the spot where that infamous question was popped on an adorable little bridge at the back of the park. The sun and warm fall evening was simply perfect for this lovely couple. Morgan and Michael are very laid back, kind, and loved taking in every second with one another. So spending time getting to know them better on a wonderful fall night was amazing. We hit up a couple other spots around the park including the treehouse. But, this couple was after my own heart with their mutual love of football, which they wanted to show off for their photos! Their team choices are a little questionable as Bears and Broncos fans in my opinion (Fly Eagles Fly), however it was a fun moment to capture them tossing the ball around handmade by a friend with their names and wedding date on it. And of course we had to finish by the pond at sunset. Southwinds Park rarely disappoints with some beautiful golden glow as the sun drops below the horizon! Especially with a delightful couple like Morgan and Michael snuggling in close on a gorgeous autumn evening. I cannot wait to be a part of their fall wedding this year!
Warm Regards,
