After I had the pleasure of meeting Bre and Kevin at their engagement session last summer, I absolutely couldn’t wait to be a part of their winter wedding to kick off 2023. These two simply have fun together and love with their whole heart. So I had great expectations for their big day and it did not disappoint! When I arrived in the morning with Bre and her girls spirits were high and this bride was nervous. She was so excited, yet wanting to ensure everything would go smoothly. Her bridesmaids were amazing keeping her calm and I got started photographing her beautiful details. From the champagne velvet bridesmaids dresses, to her gorgeous illusion neckline gown, and a classic invitation suite with gold and silver touches. When it came time for Bre to step into her gown her maid of honor, Haley, helped her bestie. Bre was absolutely stunning in her gown. It fit perfectly and her entire look was flawless! She decided to do first looks with her bridesmaids, her mom, and Kevin’s mom. Followed by a first look with her dad, brother, and some other special men in her life. They were all wonderful moments from the day. And although Bre was not doing a first look with Kevin before the ceremony, they decided to calm her nerves to do a first touch and read letters they wrote to one another. This moment of the day was super special as Kevin and Bre read heartfelt words to each other as they held hands around the door. Kevin is definitely the rock that keeps Bre grounded and she is the one that brings the laughter to their relationship. I never take the fact that I have the honor of being a fly on the wall during these intimate parts of my couple’s day.
The ceremony was held at Christ The King Church in Springfield, IL and this unique circular church was still bringing the holiday magic with Christmas decor and lights. It really brought warmth to the ceremony. Right before it came time for Bre to make her way down the aisle the ring bearers walked down with a sign that read, “For Once She’s On Time” followed by the flower girls own sign reading, “Here comes the love of your life”. Again the perfect balance of laughter and love. Bre and her dad made the long walk together towards the awaiting Kevin at the end of the aisle. Kevin couldn’t take his eyes off his bride and the two of them stood together at the altar ready for the sacrament of marriage. Beautiful music, readings, and words of wisdom were given throughout the ceremony. Bre and Kevin exchanged their vows, rings, and at the end sealed it all with a kiss! They two exited the church with arms raised as husband and wife!
The bridal party then headed over to the Horace Mann building where we tried to find cover from the windy, chilly day. Bre, Kevin, and their amazing bridal party were total troopers in the cold and we made time going through portraits. Kevin and his groomsmen looked awesome in their grey suits and champagne velvet ties. And with the ladies standing next to them they looked even better! After bridal party photos, it was time for just the newlyweds. Bre and Kevin were made for one another and took the extra time to snuggle in close, share a few kisses, and keep one another warm. My time with the new Mr. & Mrs. Zanger was simply wonderful.
We then headed over to the Columbian Grand Hall for the reception to begin. And if I thought the day was already fun I was in store for a blast during this big bash! Bre and Kevin were there for the party and it was about to be thrown down! There were memorable dances, emotional and hilarious toasts (including all 3 of Kevin’s brothers cheering on the couple), and then the party got started. The dance floor was full all night celebrating the incredible couple! And before I knew it both Kevin and Bre were being lifted up by guests keeping the festivities going long into the night! I had an amazing time capturing every second of Bre and Kevin’s big day and I’m wishing them a very long and blessed marriage! Cheers to The Zangers!
