Abbie and Luke’s boho country wedding was pure perfection! And what made it perfect was simply seeing these two become husband and wife! They are absolutely made for one another and I couldn’t have been more honored to capture it all for them! My day started with Abbie and the ladies at her parent’s home where HUGE shout out to her hair and makeup team for basically having all the girls done, with exception of the bride, when I arrived! These girls had time to chill and relax, which got the day off to the right start. Within the first few seconds of seeing the color pallet of the day I was overly excited! The dusty blue along with pops of mauve, cream, and pampas grasses was something special. When the time came for Abbie to get dressed she was positively stunning! Her lace gown with delicate, with an off the shoulder design and lovely train fit her like a glove! She was a vision for sure! Abbie had many sweet souls helping her to get ready for her big day including her mom, her sister, friends, and the cutest flower girl and ring bearer, Andi and Blake. This bride also carved out a few moments to give gifts to her mom, sister, and grandmother of bracelets with a charm reading, “Love Ya” which was in the handwriting of her late grandfather, who is missed dearly. Then it was off to the first look.
At the family farm, where Abbie and Luke chose to pledge their love, we met up with the groom who was ready to see his bride. Because this spot is so special to the couple, we decided to have their first look under the same giant tree overlooking the cow pasture where we also visited for their engagement photos. When Luke saw Abbie for the first time you definitely weren’t going to wipe that smile off of his face! They shared a few moments checking out one another’s wedding style and just embracing for a bit. And to make the time of day even better they gifted me some portrait time with just the pair of them before they tied the knot! The florals, the dress, and this couple just all made sense. The wedding vision came together. Following the first look, between two aged trees and under a beautiful gold circle arbor complete with grasses and florals, Abbie and Luke held their nuptials. In an intimate ceremony the couple exchanged rings, mixed soil into a tree base, spoke their vows, and finalized it all with a kiss! The new Mr. & Mrs. Aufdenkamp!
After a few family and bridal party photos, we headed back to Abbie’s family home again for a few more photos by the pond out back. Although the bugs and Cottonwood trees were trying to kill us all…Nothing was going to get in the way of Abbie and Luke celebrating finally being MARRIED! The reception was on a family friend’s property under “The Hoop”. Long family-style tables lined with dusty blue fabric, candles, and vases with grasses continued the fabulous vision for this couple. A naked cake, a couple of emotional toasts by the maid and matron of honor, a few special dances in the summer sunlight, and finishing up with Abbie’s uncle singing completed the events of the evening. Then as the sun set, I stole the couple for some more photos. The golden glow behind the newlyweds was gorgeous and Abbie and Luke took this time to reflect, laugh, and enjoy their newly married status!
Celebrating with Abbie and Luke was an absolute pleasure and I’m thrilled for this LWP Couple! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Aufdenkamp!
