On social media, Mackenzie and Bryce have been counting down the days until they could finally say “I Do!” It’s been fun to follow along with the countdown as she shared some of their engagement photos we did last year! But on the last weekend of October, they became husband and wife and I couldn’t be more excited to have been there to capture it all! Mackenzie and Bryce are the kindest and most thoughtful humans and they absolutely love being together! They both adore being outdoors, which is probably why they chose to get married at Reichert’s Barn in Bluff Springs, IL to take advantage of it’s beautiful landscapes. Their day was a mild temperatured fall day with overcast skies in the morning, but overall you couldn’t have asked for a better day!
When it came time for Mackenzie to get dressed her mother, Trisha, helped her into her gorgeous floral, lace gown with an incredible train! And to add a little more drama to her look she had a cathedral length veil with embroidered lace as well! She was an absolutely stunning bride! The bridesmaids all looked amazing in mismatched fall colors like burgundy, burnt orange, champagne, and mauve! Add in the phenomenal bouquets by Flourish Flower Co. and the whole look was fall perfection! Bryce and the guys were in dark gray suits also with mismatched ties to coordinate with the ladies. Yet, before we could get the entire bridal party together, Mackenzie wanted to share a first look with her dad and Bryce. And of course right before all of our photos began a cool wind picked up! I won’t lie, it was a bit chilly for Mackenzie in her sleeveless dress. However, she was a total champ and her first looks with her dad and Bryce were so sweet! We were able to get in a few with the bride and groom as the bridal party made their way outside and we tried to use the wind to our advantage to show off that veil! Mackenzie and Bryce looked awesome together in each other’s arms for sure! Then with the addition of the wonderful colors of the bridal party and the fun energy this group brought we knocked out portraits in no time! Now let’s get these two married!
Right before the nuptials started the most fantastic thing happened…The sun came out! I’m thrilled for Mackenzie and Bryce to have the sun shining down on their outdoor ceremony as they said their handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed it all with a kiss! The countdown hit zero and they were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Combs! And before that sun disappeared below the horizon we were able to get some of my favorite photos with the newlyweds overlooking the rolling farmland and white chapel off in the distance! Mackenzie and Bryce soaked in every second of this new chapter of their lives!
Then they were ready to get the party started with their loved ones upstairs in the barn. With lovely speeches, dances, followed by the couple opening up the dance floor for the fun to begin! However, before the evening is over I snuck the couple out for one more photo opportunity with sparklers! And my goodness their bridal crew understood the assignment when it came to hyping them up for sparklers! It was amazing hearing everyone yelling and cheering in celebration for this beautiful couple! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Combs! I wish you all the best in your marriage!
Warm Regards,
