Sometimes when you watch two people together you can tell they are meant to be with one another. Erin and Jack have that special quality. You can see how caring and genuinely in love they are and it simply warms your heart! Which made capturing their intimate fall backyard wedding day in Taylorville, Illinois even better! Erin and Jack are both more quiet and reserved by natural but they were all smiles and filled with excitement to finally become husband and wife! Erin and Jack have been dating since high school and deserved to be celebrated surrounded by a close group of family and friends. The nuptials were held in Jack’s mother’s backyard overlooking Taylorville Lake. With hay bails, pumpkins, and a beautiful wooden arbor complete with burgundy draping the background for this couple to tie the knot was perfect!
Erin looked incredible in her lace gown and finished it off with a plaid shawl to keep her warm! This meshed seamlessly with her bridesmaids who wore burgundy dresses and also wore matching shawls. Jack and the guys wore navy blue suits and coordinating burgundy ties. This bridal party looked fantastic and everything all came together with pops of sunflowers, which were incorporated into the flowers for the bridal party, on the arbor at the ceremony, as well as at the reception later in the evening! The perfect fall look was definitely achieved! Erin and Jack decided to do a first look and see one another before they officially got married and remember that “look” these two give each other? That was on full show! They hugged for a long time and took in that moment second by second! Then we gathered the full bridal party for some fun photos! This included sweet flower girl, Paisley. What a cutie! And before Erin and Jack took their vows I spent some more time capturing this lovely couple together around the property.
When it finally came time for the ceremony, they were not messing around! They have been together for so long that they did not want to wait much longer! I think they get the award for quickest wedding ceremony EVER! Although quick, it was beautiful and really hammered home how much Erin and Jack care for each other! When all was said and done, they were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Greene! And the high school sweethearts turned newlyweds made a grand exit following their ceremony by leaving in a white Corvette with “Just Married” on the rear window! So cute! Once they took a little ride around the block they returned for a few more photos and a little fall pop of color! Love these!
The Greene’s reception was as much about catching up with family and friends as it was about celebrating the couple! With their signature sunflowers sprinkled around with navy, burgundy, and burlap decor it created a wonderful atmosphere. Although the sun didn’t give us much to play with at sunset, I still wanted to be able to give the couple something special to end the evening. With a little drama of the flash I think the last photo of the night captured the adoring look these two share for their new spouse! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Greene!
