Meeting up with Lindsay and Matt for their engagement session at one of their favorite watering holes, J.P. Kelly’s in Downtown Springfield, IL was so fun! These two both told me when we met they were a little nervous and worried they would be awkward in front of the camera! Ummmm…No they weren’t at all! These two eased into it and looked incredible next to one another! Once we enjoyed our time at JP’s we moved down the road to Gietl Bros. for some more of these cuties together! We were watching the skies, which had rain forecasted here and there, but for the most part I was focused on Lindsay and Matt who learned quickly all about nuzzling in close, the essential walking engagement tricks, and that they would share a lot of kisses! I don’t think either of them minded! Before heading out of town to our last spot, I thought they were perfectly dressed for the white archways I love so much! And because Lindsay and Matt are so laid back they were up for anything! Aren’t they adorable?

We finished up out at Lewis Memorial Acres where we did a few photos in their favorite outfits. We did get a few sprinkles of rain, but these two took it in stride and we continued with a few under an umbrella. Then the overcast skies began to clear and miraculously the sun popped out! I don’t think Lindsay could have gotten more excited and neither could I! I was so happy these two could get a little glowy light to finish off their photos! We took full advantage of the dreamy sunset and had lots of laughs to finish off the evening! I’m looking forward to capturing this beautiful couple on their special day next year!
