When Ashley and Weston got engaged at the beginning of 2021, they knew they didn’t want to wait long to tie the knot. Yet, with all the weddings that were cancelled due to Covid last year, planning a quick wedding for the same year was going to be a challenge. However, these two pulled it off and my goodness it was a perfect day at Hill Prairie Winery in Oakford, Illinois! Ashley was a previous bridesmaid of mine from her friend Rachel’s wedding and now it was her turn to be the blushing bride. I knew she would be a stunning bride, but when she stepped into her gorgeous beaded gown she was truly a vision! Her bridesmaids all wore a variety of dresses all in the blush pink, dusty rose, to lavender color spectrum. All of them surrounding Ashley on her big day were incredible! Add in the AMAZING bouquets from Verde Floral Events and it was perfection! Seriously these bouquets might be my favorites all year!

Weston couldn’t let Ashley outdo him too much! So he, along with him crew of groomsmen, made sure to clean up pretty good! They all wore light gray suits with matching gray ties and a pop of color from their boutonnieres. Ashley and Weston definitely had a good looking bridal party! This couple decided they wanted to see one another for a first look so they could knock out all of their photos before their ceremony. Since they both got ready in the Petersburg area, what better spot to do their first look than in the square. They both were a little nervous, but as soon as Weston saw his bride he couldn’t take his eyes off of her! The joy and happiness they both showed was so fulfilling and wonderful! Now it was time to head to the winery!

Getting Ashley and Weston’s bridal party all together was so fun! Everyone was in energetic moods and ready to celebrate the bride and groom! Although it was very hot and humid on their big day you could not stop the excitement from the couple! After bridal party photos, I kept Ashley and Weston for a few more photos of just the two of them. On several occasions, I caught Weston sneaking in kisses in between photos. These two are truly made for one another! It then came time for their ceremony overlooking the beautiful pond! It was a very intimate and lovely event and even though Weston had already seen Ashley before this moment, he could not take his eyes off of her as she walked down the aisle with her uncle. They read their vows to one another, exchanged rings, and sealed it all with a kiss. The joy was written all over the faces as they were walking out of their nuptials as husband and wife!

The couple chose to have their reception outside under the pavilion at Hill Prairie, where every table had more delightful floral arrangements to bring a pop of color. The newlyweds wanted to ensure that they had plenty of time with their guests so they planned very few “traditional events” throughout the evening. After dinner there was a glorious sunset with the vineyard as a backdrop so sunset photos were a must! They absolutely did not disappoint! To say I adored working with Ashley and Weston would be an understatement! I loved every single minute and I’m thrilled I could be there to capture all of their beautiful moments!
