I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.

It finally happened! I FINALLY got the pleasure of meeting Heather and Brandon! Sweet Heather booked me for their wedding seriously like 2.5 years ago! She is friends with one of my amazing LWP Families and told me as soon as she saw the photos I did for them she was sold and wanted to make sure she had me on their wedding day! What the ultimate compliment! Now they are an LWP Couple! YAY! And over the course of our journey together we have probably planned their engagement session at least 3 times! We had originally planned for the end of 2020 since we had so much time, right?! Well then the pandemic hit and we were pushed back a bit. Then between some reschedules due to other unforeseen things that came up, I had a baby so my maternity leave now had to be planned around, and even their wedding date AND venue changed along the way! However, we were finally able to meet up at Funks Grove Nature Preserve in Funks Grove, Illinois for some fun!
These two have known one another since elementary school! They started off as friends for most of their first years and then in high school they began dating off and on. In college again they were both trying to find themselves as they went through this phase of life, however they both just knew deep down inside they were supposed to be together! LOVE THIS! Now they are planning a wedding and their future as husband and wife! For their session, we had some rain in the forecast, but this amazing couple wanted to go for it and I’m so glad we did! Other than a few sprinkles and a few cute photos with an umbrella to save the from getting too wet, Heather and Brandon got a beautiful evening to showcase their relationship! We even were treated to the sun peeking out from behind the clouds for a bit! Heather told me she and Brandon like to say that she is the Beauty to his Beast! The two of them even have coordinating tattoos to perfectly represent this term of endearment! And it just so happens that Heather’s grandmother adores roses and brought one of her broaches to include with their rings! So the rose tattoo Heather has on her wrist holds many emotional meanings!
Heather and Brandon were such a treat to work with and I couldn’t be more excited about their fall wedding this year!
Warm Regards,
These two are just adorable together!
