Kim and Logan had a perfect day for their Labor Day weekend wedding at Oak Terrace Resort in Pana, Illinois! This pair continued to plan for their big day even in the middle of a pandemic and were rewarded with beautiful weather, surrounded by many loved ones, and finally got to marry their best friend! Kim had chosen a wonderful color palette of turquoise blue, chocolate brown, and lots of sunflowers! There was a country feel to their day with the girls in the turquoise dresses and cowboy boots, their rustic bark looking cake, metal watering cans as centerpieces, and even sunflower iced cupcakes! YUM!
When it was time for Kim to get in her gown she was absolutely glowing! Her lace dress with intricate straps and a gorgeous train was incredible and Kim could not have made a more lovely bride! Logan couldn’t let Kim get all the attention! He and his groomsmen brought their A-game and were looking quite dapper in the brown suits, turquoise ties, and matching pocket squares. Then they finished their look with and additional pop of color of yellow with sunflower boutonnieres. This bridal party brought it!
Kim and Logan decided to make things official at the beautiful St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, Illinois only a short drive away from the resort. It was an emotional moment when Logan finally got to see his bride walk down the aisle with her dad. Kim had the biggest smile on her face (which pretty much stayed the rest of the day!) These two were on cloud9 and it was awesome to witness! After they said their vows, exchanged rings and sealed the deal with a kiss these two were MARRIED!
We then headed back to Pana and made a quick stop at the local park for photos. It was fun to get the whole bridal party together with the couple. Especially when I knew a few of the groomsmen! My whole relationship with Logan and Kim began last year when Logan was a groomsman in his friend, Jake’s wedding where I was the photographer for him and his bride, Erin. Now Jake was returning the favor and a couple of the other guys that were in the wedding last year were part of the day. It was a trip down memory lane with this crew of guys! So fun! After photos at the park, it was time to head back to Oak Terrace. The reception space was delightfully filled with so much love and Kim and Logan’s signature colors of turquoise, brown, and sunflower yellow. There were amazing toasts, delicious food, and sweet dances. I then got to steal the newlyweds outside for a few sunset photos! And boy…Was it worth it! The sunset was insanely beautiful and these two deserved it! The happiness they felt was written all over the faces! I’m thrilled Kim and Logan now share the same last name and the rest of their lives together! Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Williams!
