Jessica & Kyle were just the sweetest when they arrived for their engagement session in Springfield, Illinois! I mean, you can’t get any sweeter than a first-grade teacher, which is Jessica’s profession, right?! Plus they were looking so adorable as the sun was giving us some beautiful golden light! It was so good to see them in person as I felt like Jessica and Kyle booked me forever ago for the summer 2021 wedding. So to say I was excited to finally meet up was an understatement!

Kyle decided to make it official by proposing to Jessica while they were out at Southwinds Park. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t cooperating with him as the storm clouds rolled in and he had to make the decision to get down on one knee or run for cover! Luckily he decided to go for it and the rest is history!

During their session, we found so many wonderful spots to show off their love for one another! Jessica even had a fun sign with their date as well as brought a “W” which represented her new last name once her and Kyle tie the knot! The yellow flowers were popping out in the tall grasses which made for a perfect backdrop and Jessica and Kyle snuggled in close and laughed their way through photos!

They finished up in an outfit change, where Jessica looked gorgeous in a pink floral dress and Kyle sported dark jeans, button down shirt, and a more formal jacket! LOVE! They look amazing, am I right?! These two have a playful relationship and Kyle knows just what to say to get Jessica to burst out in giggles! I adored my time with this beautiful couple and I can’t wait to capture their big day next year!
