Brittney and Nicholas (or Nich) actually live up in Morton, Illinois and their wedding day next year will be up north as well! However, they decided to treat me to a visit to check out some of the best parks Springfield has to offer! We decided on Lincoln Park first followed by the beautiful Washington Park both in Springfield, Illinois! Of course, I’m sure they weren’t expecting summer temperatures to be in the 90’s with “feels like” temps over 100! And there wasn’t much wind to help us cool down after a brief afternoon rain shower right before we arrived! Yet, this beautiful couple didn’t complain and simply joked about the lovely Illinois summer!

Brittney is a teacher and Nich is a chemist who adore spending time with one another! Their goofiness together didn’t take long to come out during their engagement session! The one good thing about the heat was we had most places in the park to ourselves! At Lincoln Park, we had free reign of the bridge and the pond as we wandered around getting Brittney and Nich to snuggle up. These two were open to anything and I had fun getting to know their wonderful personalities!

When were arrived at Washington Park they had a quick outfit change and were rocking their purples, which really complimented the pops of color at the park! They also had a unique request to show off their love for craft root beer! I totally didn’t even know it was a thing! Brittney and Nich love trying new kinds of specialty root beers and they brought along a couple of bottles from a brand up in Wisconsin, where Nich is from! So cute! Plus it added a passion they share together, which I love!

Brittney and Nich totally rocked their e-session and I had a blast with them running around Springfield! I cannot wait for their wedding day in 2021!
