These two have had my heart since the get go! Since I met Rachel & Ricky they have been committed to me as their photographer for the long haul and I couldn’t be more grateful! Soon after photographing Rachel & Ricky’s BEAUTIFUL Barn wedding last year (See their wedding day HERE) it wasn’t long before Rachel reached out to me about setting up a first anniversary session when the time came. Of course, I was totally on board and recently met Rachel & Ricky on a beautiful summer evening for their first anniversary session.

Rachel always has crazy-fun ideas to incorporate into their session and now with two adorable pups in tow I was on my toes trying to keep up! We began with their “puppy brother” Ricardo, who is the elder gentleman and who was part of their engagement photos and wedding day. And the couple recently added a sweet baby Beagle, River to their pack! OMG his face! Talk about swooning, right?! The other thing Rachel and I were both SUPER PUMPED for was the fact that we knew we were going to have a beautiful sunset for their session! Both at their e-session and on the wedding day, right at the end of the evening when we had all been anticipating a lovely sunset, overcast clouds rolled in and prevented us from getting that amazing golden glow! Not this time! We were able to get some pretty incredible photos of these love birds on their first anniversary! And they deserve it after spending half of their first year together quarantined together during a worldwide pandemic!

And because Rachel & Ricky’s time in front of my camera always seem to include some form of delicious food (Popcorn at the e-session and wedding) they wanted to celebrate their one year anniversary with CAKE! Yet, knowing these two and their competitive nature, I knew it wouldn’t be just eating the cake. Most likely it was going to involve shoving it into each other’s faces! And Rachel & Ricky didn’t let me down! When I said “GO”…They didn’t hold back! The fun they had though was hilarious to watch and capture! That’s the way to celebrate your first anniversary! Congrats on One Year, Rachel & Ricky!
