Planning a late November wedding can be hit or miss on what type of weather you are going to get. Happily, for Megan and Andrew’s nuptials in Cantrall, Illinois the weather was incredible! Although brisk in temperature this couple and their small bridal party made the most of it! Megan and Andrew are the epitome of an LWP Couple! They are kind, totally in love, laid back, and ridiculously fun! Not one time during their big day did I feel stressed out about a darn thing! Maybe it was the country chic feel of their day with wonderful navy and gold colors, the intimate feel they created with their bridal party and chapel ceremony, or the welcoming arms they had for everyone who attended their special day to show their support for the union. I know I can throw around the word “Perfect” a smidge more than maybe I should. But, honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing about their lovely autumn wedding!
I officially met Megan through my husband when she began working with him as a pharmacy technician for the State of Illinois. Yet, technically I “knew” her before he did as she was the sweet blonde that helped fill any prescriptions our family needed at a local retail pharmacy before scoring the new job with my husband. Soon after she began working with my husband he found out she was engaged to Andrew and they were looking for a photographer. I knew even before our coffee meeting I would adore photographing Megan and Andrew’s wedding, but getting to know them more sealed the deal for me! These two even lucked out with the weather for their engagement photos as we got an unseasonably warm January day and we threw together our plans within 24 hours to make it happen! I think we all appreciated the 60 degrees winter day and now they received another gift of great weather conditions on their most special day!
When it came time for Megan to get dressed she was absolutely glowing in her lace gown with illusion back! This girl was stunning! There were so many delightful moments she shared with her mom, Nancy, and her two bridesmaids, Sarah and Liselle before heading out to the country for her first look with the man of her dreams. Andrew and his brothers, Dave and Mark, could not allow the girls to look overly better than they did and sported classic navy suits with gold ties and pocket squares. They also brought their humor to spread around and were full of energy and jokes all day! The first look with Megan and Andrew out at a family farm in Cantrall was awesome as these two were more than ready to see each other. Smiles from ear to ear for both the bride and groom as they checked out one another’s attire and embraced as much as possible. Then it was time for photos!
This bridal party, although small, brought big fun to photos! And to make our time at the farm even more amazing Megan made sure to tell the cows what time they needed to be by the barn for their close-ups! As we moved around the property the herd of cows would literally follow us from one side of the barn to the other to get the best glimpse at the couple! They also made their presence known with plenty of mooing to keep us all laughing and talking back to them! Before heading off the get this beautiful couple married I captured a few more of Megan and Andrew to show off their joy, which wasn’t too hard to do!
The ceremony was an intimate one at the Cantrall United Methodist Church where a handful of family filled in the pews and white tulle lined the aisle. Megan and Andrew couldn’t take their eyes off of one another during the nuptials and excited smiles remained on their faces the entire time. But, the best moment I think was when the pastor told the could to look at the congregation of loved ones who had come out to support them and Megan locked eyes with her adorable little niece, who couldn’t have been more than three, and her niece pointed and Megan and yelled, “You look like a Princess!” Seriously it was the cutest thing ever! After a huge laugh, Megan and Andrew stated their vows and shared their first kiss to make it official! YAY!
Then came, probably my favorite part of the day, when we headed over to Megan’s grandmother’s farm for sunset photos! And boy did this November sunset impress! Next to the white picket fence, the new Mr. & Mrs. Reagan were stunning! They were overjoyed and capturing their love with that gorgeous sky behind them was a dream! I’m so happy for this LWP Couple and my friends! The reception at the Northfield Inn had simple elegance with touches of navy and gold sprinkled throughout as well as lovely and delicious cake complete with a topper of the identical likeness of the newlyweds! So cool! The main goal of Megan and Andrew’s reception was to get the party started! They cut the cake, had their first dance, followed by a shared father/daughter and mother/son dance and the rest of the night the dance floor was filled! I couldn’t be more excited for Megan and Andrew to begin their married life together and I wish them many blessings! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Reagan!
