I knew going into Ellen and Matt’s engagement session starting at the Wildlife Sanctuary in Chatham, Illinois we were going to have a great time! It was a chilly day, but with a couple who A. Like to snuggle and B. Have fun and outgoing personalities the temperature was not going to matter! Ellen is a junior high teacher and Matt repairs cars at a local body shop. Matt has this incredible superpower of making Ellen laugh basically on command! He knows exactly what to do to entice a giggle out of her and many times a roll of the eyes follows from Ellen as she knows what a goof Matt is. We started their session at the Wildlife Sanctuary in Chatham, Illinois. It’s been a long time since I had been out there, but it was perfect to showcase this beautiful couple.

Following the sanctuary, we headed out to a part of Lincoln Memorial Gardens. Ellen and Matt love the outdoors so they wanted their e-session to have that natural feeling. These two continued their adorable antics as we wandered through the tall grasses and chased the sun. I loved my time with Ellen and Matt and I can’t wait for their fall 2020 wedding!
