Sydney and Caleb were practically babies when they started dating! They both attended high school together in Hillsboro Illinois, however by the time they began dating Caleb had graduated. The pair were basically inseparable and now they are planning for the rest of their lives together. They invited me out to Caleb’s family farm for their engagement session where we found some pretty awesome spots. It didn’t take long for Sydney and Caleb to relax in front of my camera as we found the perfect lighting and a few burs in the tall grasses! If you aren’t getting dirt or prickly things on your shoes you aren’t having fun, right?! Sydney and Caleb showed me some of their favorite spots including the wooded area, the hill overlooking the farmland, and the tree-covered roads. Caleb is the strong but silent types, however, Sydney brings out the best of him. These two may have thought I was a little crazy with some of the directions I was giving them throughout our time together, yet once they saw the results on the back of my camera, they were all in!

After the farm, we headed a few miles down the road to Sydney’s family home to finish up their e-session. They had a couple of special guests. Sully, the couple’s fluffy pup along with Sydney’s family retriever were waiting for their close-ups as well! There was so much energy out of that little white fluff ball! Loved it! We then headed down the hill with Sydney and Caleb where there was a lake hidden away in the trees. We played with some fun silhouettes as the sun dipped below the treeline. I loved every minute with Syndey and Caleb and enjoyed hearing about their journey together. I’m thrilled I have the opportunity to capture their special moments.
