Picture this…You decide to apply for an internship at the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World in Florida. You are accepted to the program, move from New York, and begin working at a dream workplace! Your co-workers consist of Mickey Mouse, a bunch of beautiful princesses, and a certain tinkering fairy. You meet another handsome intern who came all the way from Bloomington, Illinois. And the fairytale begins! This is exactly what happened with Lex & Alex! The magic of Disney brought them together, grew their love for one another, and now they are MARRIED!
Lex and Alex seriously are the sweetest and I have loved getting to know them over the last year and a half. During their engagement session, this past winter the magic continued with a little dusting of snow as they came to visit me up in Springfield. Alex does everything in his power to take care of his girl and Lex appreciates every bit of it. They are giggly together and so I knew their wedding day was going to be a good one! Their wedding was held in Bloomington, which was now their home after Lex accompanied Alex back to the midwest following their Disney internship. The weather in central Illinois on their mid-October wedding day was brisk and windy, yet nothing was going to stop these two from getting married.
The setting for the ceremony was the gorgeous St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington. Alex was looking polished in his classic navy suit complete with matching bowtie. His groomsmen all wore offsetting dark gray suits with navy ties. As the music began to play and Alex was waiting for his bride to make her way down the aisle with her father, Korey the emotions of the moment hit him. He was thrilled to see Lex and have her take his arm at the altar. Lex was an absolute vision in her stunning beaded three-quarter length sleeved bodice complete with a high neckline and dramatic open back. The full skirt and cathedral veil finished her phenomenal bridal look. I mean she was a dazzling bride, right?! And Lex’s ladies were glowing as well in their navy dresses with an off the shoulder strap to give a little more elegance to their look. The ceremony was filled with readings from the bible as well as more about their Disney love story. After rings were exchanged and the vows were spoken, the pair
Before the newlyweds headed out to McGraw Park in Bloomington for a few photos, they had one requested stop beforehand. They wanted to go to Alex’s high school alma mater, Central Catholic, where he graduated along with most of their bridal party, and now where Lex is working alongside Alex’s mom, Jeanne! Go
Following the bridal party and sunset photos, it was time for the party to get started! Oh, goodness was it a good party! The reception hall was AMAZING with white draped cloth, soft blue uplighting, and subtle Disney details throughout. Cinderella’s pumpkin and carriage could be found as centerpieces, Mickey and Minnie mouse ears were on the bridal party glassware, and music playing from all of the classic Disney films was heard in the background. I was totally in heaven and had to restrain myself from singing during dinner! Before the couple had the chance to eat, however, they were treated to a surprise video tribute with many of their loved ones sending them blessings and love. It was probably the most emotional part of the evening and so incredibly special to the couple. Lex and Alex later shared their first dance to “I See The Light”, a song from Disney’s Tangled. So cute! Once a few other dances with Lex and her dad and Alex and his mom, Jeanne were completed the dance floor filled up and the party was on!
I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of Lex and Alex’s fairytale and wish them all the magic marriage offers! May you live happily ever after! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Osterbuhr!
