I’ve been waiting to get these eight high school seniors in front of my camera since winter! Well…probably even longer than winter! Since I created the Lauren Westrich Photography Senior Rep Team last year (and it was a huge success), I have been anticipating a new class of seniors! And my goodness, this Class of 2020 was worth the long wait! The LWP Senior Squad is made up of seniors from Chatham Glenwood High School, Sacred Heart-Griffin, A-C Central High School, and Lincolnwood High School. When these seniors were chosen I was looking for energetic, well-rounded, outgoing, and fun kids, who were pumped to meet new friends and get dressed up for some photos! After all this crazy springtime rain, we had to reschedule our session once already and the rain was in the forecast for the rescheduled date. Yet, as the day went on, the rain got pushed further back overnight last Wednesday, opening up the evening for our team session! YAY! We met in front of some pretty amazing white trees to really showcase these incredible seniors and the beautiful setting! Within 5 minutes of meeting one another, many of these seniors who had never met before, they were all chatting it up and getting to know each other! It was lovely to see! I took turns photographing each wonderful senior and learning more about their unique personalities! And believe me…There are some AMAZING personalities in this group! They were all ready when it was time for the team photos together and willing to hold hands, laugh, and make funny faces with each other! I think for anyone, doing all these things with strangers would be very weird. But, these fantastic seniors took it in stride and I think they loved every minute! We finished up with this fun crew hoping for a sunset that never came. Although we didn’t get that golden hour I was hoping for it didn’t seem to matter to my eight seniors, who giggled, even more, especially when I brought out huge rose gold balloons for them to show off their graduation year! The massive 2020 balloons proved to be harder than we all thought to wrangle with the wind, but these seniors had a blast with them nonetheless! 

I am thrilled with the way this spring team session went and even more pleased with how well the seniors hit it off together! They even went out for ice cream afterward to celebrate their new friendships! How awesome is that?! Next comes each of their own individual senior portraits so keep your eyes out for more of their sweet faces and genuine personalities to come out! Cheers to a phenomenal year with the Class of 2020 LWP Senior Team!
