When you bring a fun-loving high school senior guy, his adorable dog, and a vintage truck together… You can’t go wrong! I had been trying to meet up with Drew since last fall when we tried to schedule his session during the busiest season for everyone. Crazy weather and wanting to make sure his beloved truck owned by his grandfather was looking great all contributed to us pushing his session back to the spring. We decided to meet out in Loami, Illinois, right outside Chatham, for this Glenwood High School senior’s photos. As soon as we arrived at the park I recognized two faces. Drew’s mom, Kristie, and their Black Lab, Bear! Sweet Bear was only a puppy when I photographed Drew’s sister, Paige for her senior photos in 2017. Well, he has grown! And he wanted to be a part of Drew’s senior session too! We began Drew’s photos over by the sanctuary pond and modern bridge. Drew looked great in his classic collared shirt and jeans. He did a fantastic job dealing with a bit of wind out at the park, which was part of the rain front that had been whipping in and out of central Illinois over the last couple of weeks. But he handled it well! Then when it came time for Drew and Bear’s shining moment…We had to get Bear out of the pond as he decided to take a quick swim before his close-ups. He was so excited he almost took Kristie into the pond with him! We took a few more photos with Drew in a couple of different spots while letting Bear dry off a bit, but I think everyone would agree it was worth the wait to get the pair together. I finished up with Drew with his truck before the rain came in after he changed into an American Flag t-shirt completing his “Boy next door” look! Bear even got in on the action hanging out in the bed of the truck! Thanks for an awesome session, Drew! Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
