Happy April! Cheers to a new month as we step further into spring! I always feel like springtime is the best opportunity for a fresh start! The sun is shining brighter and longer. Brilliant blooms are growing from the ground. And the winter blues are melting away. Just like you, I am overjoyed with the thought of longer days and fabulous new beginnings! If you don’t know me, I tend to be a list maker. And not just digital lists, I’m a pen to paper kinda girl! If I want to accomplish tasks, I write each and every one down on my weekly “Things To Accomplish” notepad and cross them off as I go! So to add more accountability to the bigger things I have going on in my business as well as personally I’ve decided to start telling you about my monthly goals! Three business and three personal goals I want to work on throughout the month. Since April again, to me feels like a time for new beginnings I couldn’t have planned this any better! So here we go!
April Business Goals
1. Time Blocking
Work on becoming more efficient with my tasks by setting specific times of day (or days of the week) to perform certain jobs.
2. Clean Desk Policy
I remember when I worked at my corporate job and you had to make sure all papers and such were organized and put away on your desk before you left for the day. My desk (aka the dining room table! That’s a goal for another month) is constantly covered with papers, post-its, camera gear, and kids toys. Thanks, Harper! This doesn’t spark my joy…or my productivity!
3. Listen to more podcasts
Instead of finding a mindless tv show to have on in the background while editing or completing other tasks, choose a business podcast to help me think outside the box and grow in my business! I’m open to any suggestions you may have as well!
April Personal Goals
1. Make More Time in the Mornings for Miss Harper
I only have a few more months with her in half-day preschool before she is off to kindergarten all day after summer! Although she plays well on her own in the mornings while I try and get some work done, I must remember my business will not implode if I don’t get one more Instagram post ready because I took an hour to simply spend time with my daughter.
2. Hitting the Gym More
Or even getting up during the day and going for a walk in the sunshine! It’s good for the body and soul!
3. Preparing For Disney
In a little less than two months we will be making the trip to Disney with my family! I want to incorporate small surprises for Miss H throughout the trip to make it more memorable and special. Getting my thoughts on paper will help bring that to life!
Tell me about some of your goals for this new month! I’m excited to hear what you want to work on!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
