Driving to Eureka, Illinois to meet Kahla and Steven I had a sense of total calm before their engagement session. Although this was the first time I was actually meeting this pair my instincts were completely correct as they were wonderful! Within the first few minutes of the session, we were laughing and having fun together! We met at the spot where they will be hosting their guests for their wedding reception in the summer of 2019, The Cannery! The building and the courtyard behind the industrial reception space are awesome! There was a wedding about to begin, but the reception coordinator was gracious enough to allow us to take a few photos of Kahla and Steven in this incredible location and we were all very grateful! We then headed over to a local park in Eureka, where Kahla had found an awesome old bridge. The couple had also brought their adorable furbaby, Koda for a few photos! Koda is full of energy husky/pitbull mix and was ready to smell everything he could before his close-ups! So cute! The beautiful golden light from sunset was absolute perfection and added so much to this already lovely couple’s e-session! These two are playful, laid back, and super lovable! Kahla and Steven were up for anything as we finished up at the bridge with a few twirls and lift that could be in a magazine! They are simply delightful together! With a sunset so spectacular on a chilly December evening we climbed up the hill at the park to get a better look. Low and behold there was a pond at the top of the hill and the most gorgeous sunset for Kahla and Steven. It was almost like we ordered it up and so we took advantage! A few more loving squeezing and a couple of sweet kisses and we ended my fantastic time with Kahla and Steven. I am thrilled to be a part of their big day in 2019!
