When sitting down with Nyki for a wedding consult I felt like we had an immediate connection! She is so sweet and bubbly as we chatted effortlessly for an hour. She told me at the consultation she was ready to go ahead and book me for her and Dyllan’s 2019 fall wedding! I was thrilled I would have the opportunity to work with this wonderful couple, who knew met each other in junior high at a school dance! Their friends thought they would make a cute couple so they surprised them and had the DJ dedicate a song to Nyki and Dyllan! The first time they met was dancing with one another!! How funny! Nyki admitted that after that dance they didn’t hit it off as their friends thought! But, a friendship began over the next several years. Then in college, they finally expressed their true romantic feelings for one another. What a story right? Yet, the thing that stuck with me the most was Nyki telling me at the consult as we talked about their big day, “Oh I Trust You and Everything You Do!” That trust as a photographer is the greatest gift any client can give you! It allows me to open up my creativity and go way beyond the expectations Nyki and Dyllan ever dreamed of! I’m so grateful for that trust!
Nyki and Dyllan decided to have their engagement session at Washington Park in Springfield, Illinois and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! The leaves had just started to change colors and were ready for a cute couple like Nyki and Dyllan! The pair also brought their beloved pup, Molly for her close up! Molly was so excited to discover her new surroundings with her mom and dad! Especially the squirrels! We had plenty of laughs as Molly tried to catch every pesky squirrel that darted around the park! We took many opportunities with just Nyki and Dyllan for plenty of snuggles and cuddles around the park and playing in the leaves! We had a beautiful fall night and they totally soaked it all in as we wandered about the park! Dyllan has a way of bringing out the best smiles and giggles from Nyki and she definitely can’t get enough of her future husband! They have basically grown up together and it was wonderful to capture these special memories for them! Their e-session was filled with many incredible moments with their furbaby as well as their longtime love!
